Weaving prayer, hospitality, justice and care of the earth into a shared way of life.

Eucharist

On Sundays, the Benedictine sisters and guests assemble for the Eucharist at our temporary site at the Waunakee Village Center, 333 S Madison Street, Waunakee, WI. The Sunday Assembly community also gathers for the liturgies of Holy Week and for select feasts of the church year. The assembly includes those who voluntarily associate themselves with the mission of Benedictine Women of Madison and come for prayer and worship.

The Eucharist begins with introductory rites, followed by listening to God's Word proclaimed in Scripture. The reflection brings the Word home to daily life and we answer with intercessory prayer. The assembly gathers around a common table and responds to Jesus' invitation: "Do this in memory of me." Through broken bread and wine poured, we experience the meaning of our lives for the world. For more information about Sunday Assembly, contact Lynn Lemberger at llemberger@benedictinewomen.org or 608-836-1631, ext 138.
