Care for the earth is integral to Benedictine Women of Madison and is expressed in the community's mission to weave prayer, hospitality, justice and care for the earth into a shared way of life.

The environmental work fulfills the sisters' mission to restore and preserve a place where all are welcome to experience emotional and spiritual nourishment through the dynamic beauty of creation.

The Environmental Endowment enables environmental preservation at Holy Wisdom Monastery now and for future generations. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for the endowment. Each dollar contributed remains in a restricted fund, generating a revenue stream used to support the environmental work at Holy Wisdom Monastery.

Contributions to the environmental endowment help sustain the naturalist program, the Summer college intern program, an accessible trail system, continuing and educational opportunities.
